I recently received my M.S. in Computer Engineering from
NYU Tandon. My interests lie in
computer vision and human perception,
including exploring perception-related, biologically inspired methods to improve computer vision models,
as well as optimizing the perceptual quality of different visual representations.
Since May 2025, I have been working with Prof.
Jona Ballé
on visual perception and the integration of perceptual metrics with image compression.
Previously, I received my B.S. in Physics from Sichuan Normal University in June 2024.
Improves existing perceptual metrics to better capture the perceptual quality of faces in images, which often attract greater human attention, and explores their application in image compression.
Extracts visual perceptual factors from images and trains a model to predict human aesthetic ratings using the AVA dataset. Ranks visual factors to study human preferences in visual perception from an aesthetic perspective.
Translates music dynamics into smooth visual effects to enhance human perceptual experience and engagement. Maps real-time audio features to visual control parameters through a calibrated, smoothed process.
Uses machine learning and active learning to accelerate perovskite material design through predictive modeling. Applies data-driven iteration to guide material design decisions.
I spend time reading, watching movies, and hiking. I also recently started rock climbing!
